The Rosa Azul Wastewater Collector Project is a grant funded partnership sponsored by the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) and North American Development Bank (NADB) to improve 411 existing community neighborhood residential connections and decommissioning of aging septic tank systems. CMD was awarded the project by the Lower Valley Water District (LVWD) as the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. The project consisted of 31,000-LF of Wastewater Main installation within existing residential development, 411 new service lateral connections, dewatering operations, 350-LF of 24-Inch Auger Boring under TXDOT Right-of-Way, 84-Each Precast Manholes, Trench Safety, Traffic Control, Asphalt Replacement of 32,000-SY along the Main Line, and 60-Inch SRPE Pipe along El Paso County Water Improvement District #1 Right-of-Way. Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held with all funding agencies, El Paso County, City of Socorro, Moreno Cardenas, Local Residents, and other representatives who helped improve the quality of their community neighborhood. CMD was honored to be part of this successful project within our industry and community.
